Job Summary:
Responsible for Continuum of Care (CoC) policies/procedures for accounts receivable (A/R) valuation and revenue analytics, month-end close for accounts receivable and revenue, and completion of the annual net revenue budget. Serves as contact for Epic and for external/internal audits.
Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversees the finance revenue management team in the completion of the month-end close process, ensuring accurate reporting and analysis related to patient accounts receivable valuation and net revenue analytics.
Collaborates with the revenue cycle, managed care finance, and government reimbursement teams to address concerns and opportunities identified in the monthly close process. Collaborates with Continuum of Care (CoC) finance director to support the monthly close process as well as the annual budgeting process.
Serves as the Epic contact for contract and pricing schedules updates, revenue, adjustments, and bad debt mapping/reporting.
Oversees completion of the annual budget for CoC net patient service revenue.
Serves as the primary contact for enrollment/credentialing/other updates, external and internal audit related to accounts receivable valuation and net patient service revenue. Serves as the primary contact for revenue reporting in the completion of annual surveys, rating agency questionnaires, and other requests/disclosures.
Manages financial accounting activities of the organization, including financial transaction recording standards, control/reconciliation of accounts and records, cost accounting/budgeting, financial reports/schedules for internal audiences (management reporting) and for external audiences (compliance reporting).
Provides input into the short-term and long-term operational goals for finance revenue management. Collaborates with other operational leaders within and beyond area of direct responsibility.
Recruits, engages, develops, leads, and manages assigned staff.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or other business related field
EPIC Certifications preferred
EXPERIENCE
- Seven years’ experience, with five years’ leadership
