Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Minnesota Facilities Manager in Saint Cloud, Minnesota

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY Oversees facility operations and maintenance for all Club facilities and vehicles. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Manage performance of assigned staff in achieving goals by providing training and assistance. 2. Develop and maintain regular inspection schedules and maintenance to ensure a safe environment. 3. Responsible for minor repairs for all facilities and vehicles, as well as monthly cleaning of vans. 4. Schedule contractors for needed repairs and professional cleanings of facilities and vans. 5. Program necessary adjustments to heating and cooling and security systems at facilities. 6. Responsible for the cleaning and sanitizing at all club buildings. 7. Order cleaning and maintenance supplies for all buildings following Club procedures. 8. Assists in department budget development; monitor and report variances in revenues and expenditures. 9. Manage administrative and operational processes, ensuring the maintenance and repair of buildings is done in a timely manner and equipment is in good repair. 10. Responsible for upkeep of exterior grounds and parking areas. 11. Responsible for shed storage areas. 12. Assist all departments, including (but not limited to): purchasing and receiving, special events, donation pick-ups; office maintenance, etc. 13. Develop collaborative partnerships with other youth serving organizations, members, parents, families, and community organizations who use club facilities. 14. Provide Board of Directors Facilities Committee with information for short and long term plans for repair and replacement of facility assets. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Assist with snow removal from sidewalks and emergency exits. 2. Participate in activities to maintain good public relations including in-kind donation pickups. 3. May be responsible for managing human resources including assisting with recruitment, employee relations, compensation and benefits, training and development in area of responsibility. 4. Performs other duties as assigned. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES 1. Commitment to: the mission, objectives, policies, programs and procedures of Boys & Girls Clubs. 2. Demonstrated ability to organize, direct and coordinate operations; in personnel supervision, facilities management; and budget management. 3. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. 4. Ability to manage multiple tasks and to develop solutions to problems with limited supervision. 5. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Club staff, subordinates, Board members, community groups, and other related agencies. 6. Boiler license of ability to attain is required. EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE Education: Two year degree or certification in area of responsibility Experience: Minimum of three years experience in maintenance work, Facility management, and supervision FUNDAMENTAL RELATIONSHIPS Maintains close contact with assigned staff to provide technical assistance in matters of building operations; interacts regularly with Senior Site Manager, Executive Director and assigned Board Committee. Maintains contact with external community groups, schools, resident partners and others.
