Insight Global Mechanical Quality Inspector in Sabine Pass, Texas
Job Description
Insight Global is looking to hire a Mechanical Quality Inspector in the Beaumont, Texas area. This position focuses on the inspection of mechanical, stationary and rotating equipment as well as materials such as piping and LNG storage tanks. This person will conduct inspections of mechanical equipment, piping systems, LNG tanks, and rotating machinery to ensure they meet design and fabrication standards and verify compliance with applicable codes (ASME, API, ANSI) and project specifications. This person will perform non-destructive testing, including radiographic, ultrasonic, magnetic particle and liquid penetrant inspections as required, as well as witness pressure testing and ensure all testing is completed safely and accurately. They will review material test reports (MTRs), welding procedure specifications (WPS) and other fabrication records. They will maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and non-conformance reports (NCRs). They will conduct on-site inspections during fabrication, construction, and installation of equipment and piping.

Skills and Requirements
High School diploma
Verifications in NDT (ASNT LEVEL II OR III) and welding inspections (AWS CWI)
5+ years of experience in quality inspection of mechanical, stationary, and rotating equipment, preferably in oil and gas or LNG
Demonstrated knowledge of piping systems, LNG tanks, and rotating equipment
Familiar with codes and standards - ASME Section VIII, API 650, SPI 620, ASME B31.3 and API 686
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, P&IDs, isometric drawings, and material specifications
Able to lift 50 pounds, climb stairs and work in the field Visual Testing (VT) Level II
API 570 and / or API 573 certification
Stainless steel tanks, cryogenic equipment experience
Piping and valves experience
Ultrasonic Testing (UT) Shearwave Level II certification.
NACE Level II or III
Knowledge of galvanizing and coatings inspections. null
