Description

A regional manufacturing firm based in Rutherford, NJ is currently seeking a Senior Accountant to cover a long-term leave of absence. The Senior Accountant will report to the Controller, and will be relied upon to work rather independently. Responsibilities will include owning the monthly close processes, reconciling accounts (bank, cash, subledger), preparing journal entries, handling some basic sales and use tax tasks, and preparing financial statements. The ideal Senior Accountant will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a small- to mid-sized style manufacturing or industrial style business, will have general experience of cost and inventory topics, and will be have a willingness to cover varying responsibilities in a small accounting team environment. Recent experience working in JD Edwards is preferred, as are strong Excel capabilities.
