Robert Half Full Charge Bookkeeper in Round Rock, Texas
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in the wholesale distribution of durable goods industry in Round Rock, Texas. This role primarily involves heavy bookkeeping and accounting duties in a lively office setting, with work hours typically from 8:30 AM to 5 PM.
Responsibilities:
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently
• Perform reconciliations and bank reconciliations regularly
• Utilize MS Excel and QuickBooks Enterprise for various accounting tasks
• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action for delinquent payments
• Maintain an inventory side of the business and sell to various clients
• Oversee accounting operations in the absence of the manager
• Collaborate with the accounting firm and auditors to ensure accurate bookkeeping
• Handle payroll for a small team of employees
• Ensure all financial data is up to date and accurate for company performance analysis
• Resolve customer credit inquiries and maintain accurate customer credit records Requirements • Possess knowledge and experience in Accounts Payable (AP)
• Proficient in handling Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Skilled in performing Reconciliations
• Expertise in Bank Reconciliations
• Proficient in using MS Excel for accounting related tasks
• Experience with QuickBooks software for accounting tasks
• Familiarity with QuickBooks Enterprise for managing and customizing financial reports
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
• Knowledge of wholesale distribution industry is a plus.
