Reyes Holdings Instructional Design Lead in Rosemont, Illinois

Position Summary: The Instructional Design Lead combines leadership, creativity and technical expertise in creating impactful learning experiences for our employees. The Instructional Design Lead collaborates with subject matter experts to develop learning modules and assessments, ensuring quality and effective learning outcomes, as well as provides guidance and mentorship to the Instructional Design team and continuously seeks to improve the design process.

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to the Instructional Design team and rotational roles in the creative and technical aspects of instructional design, including the use of design tools (Adobe Articulate, graphic design/multi-media, webinar and e-learning authoring tools) and related graphic design skill development.

  • Provides guidance and mentorship related to instructional design models, including ADDIE methodology, agile methodology, or SAM methodology.

  • Supports the team in effectively partnering with stakeholders and subject matter experts (SME) on training needs assessment and development.

  • Provide subject matter expertise and guidance in the creation of new ideas in training workflows and e-learning module development and Instructor Led training.

  • Collaborates with SMEs to create engaging e-learning solutions from concept storyboarding through narrative, leveraging SCORM authoring tools and including graphic interactivity and quiz features.

  • Provides recommendation to SMEs related to course development and aids in course and program outcome assessments.

  • Maintains and optimizes the usage of LMS application and associated courses and other learning related content.

  • Provide recommendations to subject matter experts and training team to ensure that training fulfills the needs and objectives of the company.

  • Develops, maintains, and delivers train-the-trainer toolkits for an assortment of training programs and specialized seminars, which includes instructor/participant guides, business case exercises, job aids, PowerPoint presentations, curriculum requirements with overall easy-to-use clear, concise and accurate material that allows a comprehensive course facilitation.

  • Evaluate and analyze the impact of comprehensive program support and training design, using effective methodologies and frameworks, and making recommendations to leadership to maximize success.

  • Builds partnerships and gathers input from key organizational stakeholders.

  • Contribute to the overall success of the Training team by implementing ways to continuously improve the learning process.

  • Other projects or duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in training, instructional design, educational technology or related field

  • 5+ years’ experience in Instructional Design, developing engaging and effective learning experiences

  • Previous experience in a leadership or mentorship role, with demonstrated ability to provide clear guidance and direction

  • Strong understanding of instructional design models, including ADDIE, and adult learning theories

  • Proficient in e-learning development tools and graphic design/multi-media, including but not limited to Articulate 360, and Learning Management Systems (LMS)

  • Proficient in the MS Office Suite

  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and changing environment

  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and collaboration skills

  • This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Master’s Degree in training, instructional design, education technology, or related field

  • 7+ years of related experience

  • 1+ years of leadership experience

  • Technical writing skills and ability to develop process flows

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
