Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook/Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Prep Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly by assisting in the preparation of high-quality meals and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen environment.
Duties
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring.
- Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency and quality in meal preparation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of food items.
- Collaborate with chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service.
- Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
- Participate in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes or improvements.
Experience
- Previous experience as a cook or in a similar role within the food service or restaurant industry is preferred.
- Knowledge of dietary aide practices, menu planning, and meal preparation techniques is a plus.
- Familiarity with catering operations and large-scale food preparation is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $16.70 per hour
Expected hours: 10 -- 30 per week
