Cherry Bekaert is seeking a dynamic leader to head our People & Culture team. Key responsibilities include mentoring and developing a team of Business Partners, fostering a culture of strategic thinking and teamwork, and collaborating with senior leadership to align P&C strategies with business objectives. The role involves driving workforce planning, talent management, and compensation processes, while leveraging data insights for decision-making. The ideal candidate will identify scalable solutions for talent acquisition and retention, streamline HR processes through technology, and manage M&A integrations. Additionally, they will ensure effective communication, balance strategic planning with execution, and develop a cohesive global P&C strategy across the US, India, and Canada, while ensuring compliance with local labor laws.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of People & Culture Business Partners, fostering a culture of strategic thinking and tactical execution.

  • Promote a culture of teamwork and mutual respect by implementing initiatives that encourage open communication, trust, and shared goals. Facilitate workshops and team-building activities that strengthen interpersonal relationships and enhance team dynamics.

  • Strategic Development

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to understand business objectives and align People & Culture strategies to support these goals.

  • Provide strategic guidance to the team and the organization on workforce planning, talent management, and talent performance.

  • Execute compensation process in collaboration with the Total Rewards function.

  • Leverage data for enhanced insights to drive actions

  • Advise and collaborate with leaders on people and culture initiatives. Provide expert guidance to help shape decisions that foster a positive organizational culture and enhance employee engagement.

  • Scalability & Process Improvement

  • Develop and identify people and culture strategies that support the firm’s growth objectives. Focusing on scalable solutions that ensure sustainable talent acquisition, development, and retention as we expand our operations.

  • Identify, design, and implement process improvements that streamline P&C operations and enhance employee experience. Utilize data-driven insights to optimize existing processes, reducing inefficiencies and enhancing overall effectiveness

  • Embrace and incorporate new technologies and automation solutions to streamline HR processes and enhance the employee experience. Identify opportunities for automation in recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee development to increase efficiency and reduce manual workloads.

  • Utilize your M&A expertise to seamlessly integrate new companies into our firm. Craft and implement integration strategies that harmonize organizational cultures, systems, and processes, ensuring a smooth transition and optimizing synergies for maximum effectiveness.

  • Communication & Change Management:

  • Serve as a key communicator, ensuring transparent, consistent, and effective communication across all levels of the organization.

  • Balance strategic planning with hands-on execution by developing and implementing initiatives that align with the firm’s long-term goals. Ensure that strategic priorities are effectively translated into day-to-day operations, delivering tangible results.

  • Global Focus:

  • Develop and execute a cohesive global people and culture strategy that aligns with our organizational goals, ensuring consistent practices and policies across the US, India, and Canada. Adapt strategies to meet regional needs while maintaining a unified company culture.

  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations while implementing global best practices. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regional employment trends and challenges to proactively address potential issues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in a senior People & Culture role, with a focus on strategic business partnering.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience with a track record of developing and managing high-performing teams.

  • Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and legal regulations in the US with practical knowledge or the ability to expand knowledge related to HR in India and Canada.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.

  • Experience working in a rapidly growing and dynamic organization, with a focus on scalability and process improvement.

We offer a competitive compensation package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business. The hiring range for this position is $160,000 - $230,000. Final offers will consider experience, location, and budget.
