Position: Carpenter

Reports to: Plant Manger

Primary Position Objective

To oversee the daily fabrication process of precast and construction material while completing projects in a timely and efficient manner.

Position Responsibilities

Insure safety is at the forefront of all work under their control including adherence to all safety procedures, protocols and by direct observation of individuals as they perform work.

Utilize the master, precast and construction schedule to maintain a 1-2 week lead-time ahead of production

Communicate with management for labor support and conflicts in schedule Access and utilize DL prints for review and build

Communicate with drafting and engineering for design needs and specification for unique forms

Identify potential opportunities on prints that would cause revisions report to supervisor Manage and record all labor and materials associated with the fabrication process Develop and maintain a fabrication schedule to prioritize task and projects

Work directly with production, warehouse and construction supervisors to establish needs and requests

Follow all Inventory procedures and communicate when items are running low Cut, fabricate and stage all items needed for job or stock Maintain organization of material and work areas Maintain inventory monthly Inspect all equipment according to procedure Provide saw training for all DL employees Perform other request from management as needed Work overtime as needed to meet required job duties Responsible for time card entry
