Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Rochester, New York
Description We are searching for a meticulous Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in the healthcare industry in Rochester, New York. In this role, you will handle the administrative and clerical needs of the finance department, process expense reports, and reconcile sub-ledgers to the general ledger. You will also be responsible for providing customer service to internal business partners and assisting with internal and external audits. Responsibilities:
• Handle the administrative and clerical needs of the finance department
• Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner to ensure compliance with company policies
• Provide customer service to internal business partners
• Assist with internal and external audits as required
• Open, sort and distribute daily department mail
• Sort, log, photocopy, and file invoices, checks, and other documents
• Verify, log and mail checks, including expediting special handling
• Perform special projects as assigned
• Process expense reports and reconcile sub-ledgers to the general ledger
• Resolve any arising accounts payable issues. Requirements • Proven proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) procedures and processes
• Solid experience in the Healthcare, Hospitals, or Social Assistance industry
• Demonstrable skills in using MS Excel for data management and analysis
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial records
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with vendors and internal teams
• Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive financial information
• Adept at problem-solving and decision-making in resolving invoice discrepancies
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with modern accounting software and systems would be a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
