Code One Training Solutions is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve full-time as a BEACON Equipment Technician in our Southeast Division.

WE are a nurse-owned company that innovates and optimizes the CPR training experience. Established in 2007, Code One Training Solutions is headquartered in Roanoke, VA with remote staff nationwide and 60 physical locations (and growing!) across the eastern US.

YOU are mechanically inclined and enjoy working both independently and collaboratively, strategizing and optimizing travel, spending time on the open road, and paying meticulous attention to detail.

Position Summary:BEACON Equipment Technicians perform preventative and emergency maintenance on Code Ones manikins and conferencing equipment. BEACON Equipment Technicians are also responsible for performing the initial setup of new Code One locations, movement of equipment to client facilities, and routine inventory of equipment. Your hands-on skills and attention to detail are needed to ensure our on-site and client environments are in optimal state.

BEACON Equipment Technicians are required to travel to Code One Training Centers and client locations in their territory using company provided vehicles. Territories covered by this position include Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and may expand to bordering states as the company grows. There is potential for flying to locations based.

Your base location is flexible if you are able to commit to your designated territory. However, the ideal candidate is located within a 100 mile radius of Charlotte, North Carolina. Travel is often scheduled in advance, but there is potential of same-day changes depending on emerging needs.

A clean driving record and negative drug screen are required for this position. Applicants should expect to be away from home an average of 2 nights per week. Applicants must be personable, trustworthy, professional, flexible and tech-savvy. You should have a keen interest in providing an exceptional client experience. This is a full-time (40 hours/week) position, with some flexibility to set your own hours.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be responsible, punctual and able to work independently
  • A clean driving record and negative drug screen
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance. Assistive equipment and physical aid offered for heavier equipment
  • Must be able to attend scheduled training and professional development sessions
  • Maintain professional appearance for site visits and client / vendor interactions
  • Abide by all company protocols
  • Sensitivity to and understanding of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds

Desired Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication, scheduling and documentation skills
  • Customer service oriented (empathetic, responsive, patient, and conscientious)
  • Physical proximity to the southeast region (Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina)
  • Comfort with technology; ability to learn troubleshooting for computers, internet issues
  • Mechanically inclined - expected tasks will be changing door locksets,mounting TVs, performing maintenance on CPR manikins
  • Attention to detail - ensuring clients are entering a professionally appearing and well stocked environment
  • Dedicated team-player, participation in communications among teammates
  • Enjoy time on the open road

Compensation:This position is full-time at 40 hours/week. Part Time applicants will be considered. BEACON Equipment Technicians start at $20/hour plus health, dental, 401k benefits and paid time off (PTO) for full-time teammates.
