NJ Employer Farmworkers and Laborers, Crop, Nursery, in Riverhead, New York
Anticipated period of employment: 03/18/2025 to 12/01/2025
Mon-Sat. Average 40 hrs/wk. Schedule varies depending on weather and crop conditions. Workers receive a 1 hour lunch each day. 3 months experience required as field laborer. Drug testing during employment for cause.
Field/ground preparation; planting, care, & pre/post-harvest cleanup; fruit, vegetable & cut flower harvest; grading & packing of produce & crops; dig & plant seeds, or transplant seedlings by hand; inspect, grade, sort, wash, store, & post-harvest crop treatment; may operate vehicles, tractors, tractor drawn machinery; maintain areas around structures such as barns, greenhouses, storage facilities; hand weeding; set up & operate irrigation equipment; treat crops with fertilizer and/or repellants; load/unload agriculture products including greenhouse production into trucks & ride with truck to deliver product to market locations. Only workers meeting all qualifications on the job order should be referred by the Job Service Office. Interested candidates must contact their local employment office to receive a copy of the job order (ETA 790/790A) and applicable attachments. Once the applicant has a copy of the job contract Interviews either in person or by telephone will be conducted by the employer during the hours of 9am and 5pm, Monday through Friday and referred to NY1522226 as the CO is in connection with this NJ number.
