Job Title: Experienced Fire Alarm Technician
Location: Rio Rancho, NM
Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fire Alarm Technician to join our team in the Rio Rancho, NM area. The ideal candidate will have a Journeyman license or ESJ 3 certification and experience in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting fire alarm systems.
Responsibilities:
Install, test, and inspect fire alarm systems to ensure they meet all safety standards and regulations.
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on existing fire alarm systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with fire alarm systems promptly.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal safety codes and regulations.
Provide excellent customer service and support to clients.
Maintain accurate records of all installations, inspections, and repairs.
Responsible for conducting routine inspections, testing, service, and preventative maintenance on fire alarm systems
Use of ladder and/or aerial lift platform to complete testing and inspection procedures
Accurately document deficiencies identified during testing and inspections
Use of company software to document device testing during inspection
Generate alarm testing reports and related documentation
Follow and maintain a structured inspection schedule
· Complete assigned inspections on time
Qualifications:
Journeyman license or ESJ 3 certification required.
Extensive experience in fire alarm system installation, maintenance, and repair.
Strong understanding of local, state, and federal fire safety codes and regulations.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with various fire alarm system brands and models.
Experience with both residential and commercial fire alarm systems.
Knowledge of advanced troubleshooting techniques and tools.
