The position

By joining our team in Exploration & Production Norway you will have the opportunity to:

  • Ensure technical integrity responsibility for safety and lifesaving support systems (e.g.: active/passive fire protection systems; layout design principles; lifeboats,liferafts, fast rescue boat), performing troubleshooting whenrequired;

  • Advisethe operational environment within your discipline;

  • Be responsible forconducting, following-up and keeping Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA) updatedalong with performingALARP evaluations for risk reducing measures;

  • Ensure assets in project and in operationcomply withtechnical Authorities and Equinor requirements with regards to Operational Safety;

  • Provide Technical Safetyexpertiseto modifications or new building projects, being part of the group approving technical and operational documentation;

  • Be part of Management of Change (MoC) evaluation and approval process, assuring compliance with Authorities and Equinor requirements and confirming deliveries arein accordance withagreed expectations, within his area of responsibilities;

  • Comment and give advice to preventive maintenance and inspection routines preparation and updates in SAP for relevant systems, with focus on Authorities regulations and Equinor governing requirements compliance;

  • Perform regular and unscheduled visits offshore to closely follow-up assets' integrity and provide technical and operational support;

  • The position requires close collaboration with other professionals both onshore and offshore;

  • Participate in professional networks and safeguard experience transfer within the discipline.

  • Degree in Chemical or Mechanical engineeringwith active CREA;

  • 5-7 years of experience including project relatedexperience with minimum 1 years ofoffshore exposureis desirable;

  • Fluentin Portuguese and English;

  • Knowledge on national and international rules and regulations, such as, but not limited to, ANP SGSO/SGSS/SGIP, IBAMA, Brazilian Navy, Brazilian Labour Ministry, MODU Code, SOLAS, MARPOL, API and NFPA;

  • Knowledge in firefighting systems: Fire water pumps and engines, deluge system, gaseous agents and others;

  • Knowledge in Life Saving appliances:Life Boat, Fast Rescue Boat, Life Raft, lifebuoy, SCBA and others;

  • Knowledge of Safety Integrity levels (SIL), follow up of requirements,processesand documentation;

  • Knowledge on Incident analysis and investigation techniques;

  • Strong knowledge on quantitative risk assessment tools such as Fire & Explosion simulations (CFD and 2D modelling), Ship Collision analysis, Hydraulic analysis, Blowout Risk Assessment, Dropped Objects analysis, EventTreeand Fault Tree analysis;

  • Knowledge on qualitative and semi-qualitative analysis, such as HAZID and LOPA.
