ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Install security devices and hardware (DPS, REX, mag-locks, cameras,access control panels, keypads, card readers, door strikes.); performing device installs.
Working with Lenel as the manufacturer brand; having Lenel experience would be needed.
Have the experience to inscribe IP addresses on cameras and other devices.
Manage CCTV accounts including installation and maintenance.
Climb ladders from 6'-25'.
Install, service, and upgrades customers with various brand alarm and fire equipment.
Perform service/installation of access control, intrusion alarm and CCTV cameras and other security-related devices.
Identify and troubleshot all issues and make corrections.
Maintain, troubleshot, repair, replace and install discrepancy-causing components, repair or replace faulty parts.
Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
· Must be capable of leading a crew of 1-5 technicians.
· Must understand customer service, perform job walks and communicate with customer for job requirements.
· Accept responsibility of outcome of work performed by him/her and/or by employee that directly report to him/her.
· Capable of maintaining orderly paperwork, capable of running midsize to large projects and service jobs.
· Possess skill to layout MDF and IDF closets, be able to dress all types of cable and perform all types of terminations and should include basic understanding of fiber equipment, all types of cable and fiber terminations.
· Track and submit timesheets for crew reporting
· Perform job walks
· Maintaining paperwork and running service jobs
High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
You should be able to read blueprints and be trained in access control, alarm, intrusion, and how to install various systems.
Skill in the use of computers, preferably in a PC, Windows-based operating environment.
Basic knowledge of computer server operating systems.
Basic knowledge of IP network technologies.
OSHA safety standards are mandatory for many businesses.
Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.
Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are critical, as well as the ability to work effectively on a team, being detail-oriented, and thorough.
Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 pounds, frequent standing, bending, and climbing, and being comfortable working outside in adverse weather conditions.
You are also expected to wear safety equipment at times.
