Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP, an international law firm, is actively recruiting for a Senior Tax Accountant. This role takes responsibility for working with the Finance Operations Director as directed to support both US and international local, state, and federal direct and indirect tax affairs of the Firm.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES: 1. Maintains the firms tax master tax calendar and annual checklist. 2. Assembles and reviews tax compliance requirements for U.S. domestic (federal, state and local) and international tax return preparation and filings, including personal property, sales and use, and other business returns. 3. Takes responsibility for the composite filing and tax withholding and payment process, and reconciliations, for partners in all jurisdictions where the partner is not resident or tax domiciled. 4. Responds to tax authority requests and supervision of tax audits; Interacts with relevant tax authorities, as appropriate. 5. Supports the indirect (VAT/GST) tax compliance matters. 6. Prepares clear, concise information to document and communicate tax issues. 7. Communicates with partners and tax advisors regarding the partners tax obligations arising from partnership transactions.

QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred. Experience: Minimum of 4 years of job related experience required, preferably in a law firm, professional services, or other client relationship-based organization. Knowledge of Microsoft Office required. Other Minimum Qualifications: Travel may be required. Availability and willingness to work hours as needed to meet critical deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications. Strong commitment to client service excellence and teamwork. Must possess the highest standards of ethical conduct and professionalism. Must act as catalyst for change, drive and own results. Creative and innovative. Excellent communication skills (oral, written and listening) and ability to collaborate effectively with diverse group of professionals. Sound judgment and flexibility. Ability to work well under pressure, patience, diplomacy, high stress tolerance, excellent interpersonal communication skills, ability to prioritize workload and adapt to changing conditions. Visual acuity needed to process and read extensive written communications. Ability to receive and convey detailed information through oral communication. Essential competency processes include language ability, reasoning and memory.
