will be hybrid work schedule-supporting team in 2 other locations-manager open to Richmond, Lumberton or Charleston, WV with preference for Richmond, VA

Responsible for leading a group of teammates handling collection/recovery activities. Train and ensure that assigned teammates follow standardized collection procedures for all assigned accounts. Responsible for the execution and delivery of critical business components as determined by Key Performance Indicators (KPI) through hiring, training, developing and motivating teammates.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

Ensure teammates have followed standardized collection procedures for all assigned accounts and monitor objectives using standard management reporting systems.

  1. Provide ongoing training and feedback to teammates to ensure appropriate performance, engagement, and career development.

  2. Review and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports (teammate and portfolio) for trends and take necessary actions.

  3. Ensure appropriate approval, disposition, and treatment for accounts based on account status and regulatory requirements consistent Default Management policies and established standards for assigned area (eg write down, repossession, non-accrual, charge off, legal/agency placement, etc).

  4. Meet established performance objectives for assigned accounts as measured by delinquency, non-performing assets, loan losses, recovery, etc.

  5. Provide information and feedback to on an ongoing basis to ensure continuous improvement in department processes, assisting with department projects.

  6. Ensure execution and compliance with all policies and procedures.

  7. Make recommendations for teammates regarding employment, training, performance ratings, salary changes, promotions, transfers and terminations. Also establish priorities and resolve teammate issues.

  8. Perform other duties as directed by Collections Manager.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent education and related training

three years of experience in default or equivalent leadership experience

One years of experience successfully leading a team

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills in routine and non-routine situations

Strong time management and organizational skills

Strong analytical skills and ability to recommend operational and process improvements

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field

Previous leadership experience
