Our client, a leading company in the construction and engineering industry, is seeking a Nuclear Professional to join their dynamic team. As a Nuclear Professional, you will be part of the HLW Nuclear Safety Engineering Team supporting critical design and construction activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety excellence.

Location: Richland, WA
Pay: Up to $33/h + benefits
Key Responsibilities
Conduct thorough engineering document reviews to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Develop comprehensive Safety Evaluations for potential design changes, assessing their impact on overall safety protocols.
Provide support in the development of PDSA changes that bolster engineering design modifications while maintaining stringent safety measures.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to address safety-related concerns and implement best practices.
Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and advancements in nuclear safety engineering to continuously enhance processes and protocols.
Requirements
Proven experience with DOE nuclear projects safety basis development or commercial nuclear power plant licensing and analysis.
In-depth knowledge of nuclear safety principles and engineering practices.
Demonstrated experience in implementing the Unreviewed Safety Question (USQ) or Safety Evaluation (SE) processes.
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, nuclear engineering, or related fields from an accredited college or university.
A minimum of 13 years of relevant experience in nuclear safety engineering or a related field.
