CTG Earned Value Management System Analyst in Richland, Washington
CTG is seeking to fill an Earned Value Management System Analyst opening for our client in Richland, WA.
Location: Richland, WA (Hybrid remote)
Duration: 4 months
Duties:
Provide subject matter expertise in Earned Value Management (EVM) and Project Controls best practices.
Promote sound business decisions and best practices in planning, scheduling, budgeting, financial analysis, schedule/cost control, and risk management.
Monitor business processes and project performance to ensure compliance with financial and business controls.
Ensure budget, cost, and schedule practices conform to generally accepted accounting principles, industry standards, and contractual requirements.
Provide Project Controls oversight of Capital and O&M projects while adhering to EVM principles.
Function as the P6 system administrator, including security audits, user access, code field maintenance, and Organizational Breakdown Structure (OBS) maintenance.
Process month-end project reporting using EVM system tools.
Process approved baseline changes through the EVM system.
Upload budget, labor offsets, and contingency update files into the financial system.
Perform monthly contingency reconciliation using Power BI.
Conduct quarterly Long-Range Plan (LRP) reconciliation to ensure alignment with P6 and the financial system.
Coordinate project planning for the next fiscal year between Project Controls and Business Planning.
Review initial baseline schedules to ensure adherence to Project Controls standards and expectations.
Load the next fiscal year budget and associated files into the financial system during the annual budget cycle.
Assist Project Controls supervision in monthly analysis and identify trends in project performance.
Identify and propose improvements to Project Controls reporting.
Conduct benchmarking studies for business-related issues.
Coordinate maintenance and updates of Project Controls Power BI reports and data sets.
Interface with Information Services and Planning, Scheduling, and Outage departments for P6 upgrades.
Perform special assignments and exhibit leadership qualities.
Skills:
Required: Experience with P6 systems and Earned Value Management.
Highly recommended: Power BI proficiency.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
Strong understanding of planning, financial management, budgeting, and risk management.
Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse groups.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to establish goals, set priorities, and maintain an awareness of interrelationships among activities.
Must function as both a service provider and controller.
Experience:
Bachelor’s degree with 9 years of relevant experience in financial/accounting/budgeting/risk management in a large company or profit center.
OR AA degree with 11 years of relevant experience.
OR High school diploma/GED with 13 years of relevant experience.
Desired: Formal training in Primavera P6 Professional.
Project Management Institute certification (PMP, PBA, SP, CAPM, or RMP) is preferred.
Experience in the utility industry is preferred.
Process improvement experience is a plus.
Experience in nuclear power generation business processes, including work management, operations, HR, finance, accounting, and project management.
Prior BWR nuclear power experience in Project Controls with EVMS applications is preferred.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
AA degree or high school diploma/GED with relevant experience accepted.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $45.76/hr to $73.76/hr. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefits package is also offered.
