GENERAL SUMMARY

This position is responsible for ensuring state and federal grant compliance with reporting, accounting standards, and regulations. Collaboratively work with various departments to assess, improve, and implement compliance process requirements while mitigating compliance risk by defining and executing appropriate controls. This position will be responsible for ensuring correct GL posting and accounting as well as preparing for quarter and year end requirements.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Grant Compliance Oversight: Monitor and enforce compliance with grants, accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Government Accounting Standards Board (GASB) and Federal Grant Requirements under 2 CFR 200.

Internal Control Evaluation: Assess the effectiveness of internal controls and procedures to mitigate financial risks and ensure accuracy in grant reporting. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.

Audit Support: Assist in the coordination and preparation of grant audits, including gathering documentation, responding to auditor inquiries, and facilitating the resolution of audit findings in a timely manner.

Policy Development: Contribute to the development and revision of policies and procedures to align with evolving regulatory standards, grant requirements, and organizational objectives.

Training and Education: Develop and deliver training on grant compliance and risk mitigation procedures and processes.

Other: Provide ad-hoc analysis and support of new grants, compliance performance and risk assessments. Other initiatives as assigned.

Must participate on the Emergency Response team (ERO) when designated.

Must support the biennial refueling outage.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field and 10 years of experience working in a compliance, audit, or risk-related position with increasing levels of responsibility and oversight.

  • Experience with state and/or federal grants including compliance, reporting, and risk assessments.

Pay Range

$108,279.00 - $162,419.00 Annual

Midpoint:

$135,349.00

Typically, selected candidates are hired between the minimum and midpoint of the range, based on applicable experience and qualifications, market rate, internal equity, and budgetary allowances.

Offers will be negotiated based on each candidate's qualifications.

Incentive Compensation

This role may be eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan. Incentives are earned based on employee performance against defined metrics and company goals.
