Honeywell Sr. Field Service Technician - BA or Fire Technician in Richardson, Texas

As a Sr Field Service Technician - HVAC Building Automation Or Fire Technician here at Honeywell, you will have the opportunity to provide expert technical support and service to our customers in the field of HVAC Building Automation or Fire systems. Your expertise and knowledge will be crucial in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of these systems, and in delivering exceptional customer service. You will report directly to our Field Service Manager and you'll work out of our Richardson, TX location on a hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will have a direct impact on the performance and reliability of HVAC Building Automation or Fire systems, and on the satisfaction of our customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide expert technical support and service for HVAC Building Automation or Fire systems

  • Conduct troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on complex technical issues

  • Perform preventive maintenance and system upgrades as required

  • Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions • Train and mentor junior technicians to develop their skills and knowledge

  • Maintain accurate records of service activities and report on system performance

  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements, and provide recommendations for improvement

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Must have 2+ yrs of HVAC Building Automation experience or Fire Technician experience

  • In-depth knowledge of Fire alarm systems, plans, specifications, and solid understanding of contracting relationships

  • Competent in MS Word, Excel, Project, and Outlook

  • Excellent customer service skills with experience in technical phone or onsite customer support including good interpersonal communication skills.

  • Ability to travel both locally to customer sites and overnight up to 25% as workload demands

  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record ability to pass background check

WE VALUE

  • NICET certification level 1 or higher

  • Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in HVAC building automation and security systems

  • 1+ years related security system and access systems.

  • Technical Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Computer Science or related field or 4 years of experience in a technical role in this industry

  • Building Networks infrastructure knowledge (wiring, CAT, Cables, Fiber optics etc.).

  • Understanding of typical communication topologies is important a plus Knowledge of Fire alarms, smoke control and security systems a plus
