Senior Resource Manager
Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in optimizing resource allocation and staffing efficiency within one of Fujitsu Americas' Service Lines? As a Senior Resource Manager, you'll become the go-to expert in resource management, ensuring that our projects are appropriately staffed with the right skills at the right time. Your responsibilities will span from maintaining a comprehensive understanding of ongoing and upcoming projects to collaborating closely with delivery teams, recruitment, and HR to fulfill staffing requirements effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Take full ownership of staffing, forecasting, and skill development within a service line. This involves fulfilling staffing requests, understanding skill requirements, and promptly addressing any issues that may arise.
Maintain open lines of communication with project managers to ensure timely updates and information flow. Consistently update relevant data in supporting applications to reflect staffing requests and resource changes accurately.
Facilitate the fulfillment of staffing requests by prioritizing resource allocations in collaboration with Delivery leadership and other team members. Identify and resolve resource allocation conflicts proactively.
Liaise with global delivery centers teams and vendors when necessary to identify solutions and leverage a diverse workforce effectively.
Lead Resource Staffing & Interlock status meetings, ensuring that materials are prepared, distributed, and follow-up actions are completed promptly.
Collaborate with stakeholders to forecast resource demand accurately. Analyze historical data and trends to anticipate future resource requirements and adjust staffing plans accordingly.
Conduct regular meetings for bench resources, proactively engaging with employees to provide guidance on activities and processes prior to employee hitting the bench.
Analyze Billability and Utilization reports and identifying instances of underutilization and collaborating with service lines leads to address and resolve these issues.
Ensure accurate bench forecasting, anticipating potential issues, and proactively propose effective solutions to maintain bench control.
Provide comprehensive onboarding support for new employees, including welcome emails, orientation sessions, and connecting them with their respective managers.
Identify alternate staffing solutions and process improvements, mentoring associate resource managers along the way.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Professional Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in resource management, project management, or similar roles.
Technical Skills: Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel is essential, with familiarity with other Microsoft programs, including PowerPoint.
Analytical Skills: Demonstrated ability to analyze data, multi-task, prioritize, and respond effectively to business demands.
Communication and Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
Customer Service Orientation: Strong customer-service orientation and the ability to build and maintain relationships effectively.
Adaptability: Ability to adapt to change and ambiguity while maintaining a positive attitude.
Professional services industry experience within a large Systems Integrator (SI) organization is required.
