Google Technical Program Manager Intern, Public Sector, Summer 2025 in Reston, Virginia

This internship is intended for students in their penultimate academic year, who are pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Business Administration, or a related field.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree or post secondary or training experience with a focus on subjects in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including: Java, C/C++, Go, or Python.

  • Experience leading entrepreneurial efforts, outreach within organizations or project management experience through class projects, clubs, or internships.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Currently attending a degree program in the US and available to work full time for 12 weeks outside of university term time.

  • In their penultimate academic year or returning to a degree program after completion of the internship.

  • Experience or certification in program management.

  • Professional level cloud certifications, including trainings or certifications in Scrum.

  • Ability to take an investigative and solution-oriented approach.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You will plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

Using your technical and leadership expertise, you will run Engineering-focused projects that are well-defined under supervision.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $80,000-$106,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Work with Google Engineering teams to design, develop, implement, launch, and support services, and enhancements to existing services.

  • Develop and execute plans under a set of implementation and delivery time constraints, optimizing for a blend of cost, schedule, and features.
