Google Sales Enablement Consultant, Public Sector in Reston, Virginia

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 7 years of experience in sales enablement or direct sales.

  • Experience with learning and development, and storytelling.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 2 years of field sales experience with cloud technologies to Enterprise business customers, with knowledge of Product, Industry or/and Horizontal solutions of Google Cloud or competitors.

  • Experience talking to C-level executives on strategic technology directions (and coaching others in this skill).

  • Industry-specific knowledge of leading enablement techniques and methodologies to enable different types of audiences and levels.

  • Expertise in one or more cloud technologies, as evidenced by demonstrated proficiency with cloud messaging and productivity tools, and specifically Google Cloud solutions and their application to solving customer business problems.

The GPS Sales Enablement team is responsible for providing the support necessary to match the needs of the go-to-market organization and increasing our sellers’ sales excellence and productivity. They do this through deliberate go-to-market Enablement strategies, programs, just-in-time learning, sales productivity tools, assets and learning opportunities.

As a Sales Enablement Consultant, you play an essential role driving field enablement and productivity for Google Public Sector. You will collaborate with Commercial Sales Enablement for learnings and programmatic playbooks, and then develop and execute strategies and programs tailored to the unique needs of GPS customers. You will enable GPS promoters and customer engineers on everything from how to prospect into existing accounts, shape, train and land pitches, conducting business reviews, and how to have industry related value conversations with C-level executives.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $129,000-$191,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Lead sales training, from new hire onboarding through promotion into sales and beyond. Provide analysis and feedback on training events to program teams or management regarding training results.

  • Understand existing sales motions in the various customer segments. Bring forth the best practices from within and outside of Google and execute the recommendations across customer segments.

  • Manage global curriculum for new Sales Rep onboarding and reinforcement training, in both small and large group settings.

  • Work cross-functionally to bring in resources and feedback from our Commercial Sales Enablement, GPS Sales Leadership, Consulting and Services team and other value added teams.
