Network Security Detection Engineer Responsibilities:
Iterate network security posture to better protect against attacks and detect new vectors.
Lead network efforts to mitigate and investigate security incidents.
Develop automation and utilize frameworks to scale both protection and mitigation tools.
Evaluate and test new vendor and in house network initiatives for security issues.
Mentor and evangelize security practices through cross functional work with engineering teams throughout Meta.
Keep Meta safe through active operation and defense of critical network infrastructure.

Minimum Qualifications:
Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Telecommunication and Network Management, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Security, or related field and 36 months of work experience in job offered or in an information security-related occupation. Experience must include 36 months of experience in the following:
- Software or security engineering
- Operation systems, file systems and memory on Windows, MacOS, or Linux
- Interpreted programming language PHP, Python, Perl or Ruby
- Information security detection and response
- Developing scalable systems to automation detection and remediation
- Identifying attacker tactics, techniques and procedures
- Configuring and maintaining infrastructure to log network telemetry and metadata
- Ensuring resilience of network infrastructure to withstand internal and external threats
- Providing incident response capability for infrastructure related threats and attacks.
Public Compensation:
$173,301/year to $200,200/year + bonus + equity + benefits
