PACCAR Inc. Logistics Project Manager in Renton, Washington

Requisition Summary PACCAR Parts is seeking an experienced Project Manager to manage key projects and initiatives within the Operations organization. The position will collaborate with other groups within PACCAR to successfully implement large scale projects. The position will continuously analyze processes for areas of improvement and will initially support the implementation of a North America wide Transportation Management System. Job Functions / Responsibilities Productivity Communicates strategic benefits of projects to various levels of management throughout the organization to gain support and to achieve goals Provides analysis and feedback to senior management on project activities, status, improvements, and savings. Directs the activities of team members to meet project goals Engages with team members appropriately to ensure decisions are made Drives the accomplishment of the project plan Administration Effectively balances stakeholder needs against project constraints. Prioritizes issues and elevates appropriate levels to gain resolution. Balances the needs of the Division against the overall PACCAR needs to develop a course of action. Conveys a sense of urgency and drives for timely conclusion of open issues. Persists despite obstacles and opposition. Interpersonal Skills Builds trust and respect with project team and other stakeholders by demonstrating inclusive leadership skills. Establishes credibility and trust with external vendors and service providers through strong business communication and negotiation methods. Leads via accountability and example. Trusted at all levels of Division and Corporate management Problem Solving Applies Six Sigma tools to improve process capability and to eliminate defects. Develops and leads cross-functional process improvement teams. Works with cross-functional teams to recommend and implement process improvement plans. Challenge conventional wisdom by demonstrating successful application of new methodologies to improve product and process quality. Documents processes from the user perspective to facilitate process training. Develops fact-based, data-driven measurements of business performance in collaboration with the business owners. Knowledge Proficient and well versed in the use of project management tools Has strong knowledge of PACCAR Parts Distribution and Logistics Operations and Systems Uses knowledge of diverse functional areas to improve the efficiency, progress, and results beyond what these functional areas would achieve working independently Qualifications Bachelor's Degree is required; advanced degree preferred 5+ years of relevant professional experience Project Management experience Technical aptitude and ability to succinctly communicate complicated topics Experience working with the production teams desired Excellent interpersonal, strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills Demonstrated ability to interface professionally with all levels of the organization and external stakeholders Able to manage and resolve conflict Six Sigma experience desired; Lean Belt, Green Belt, or DFSS trained Competencies Act with Integrity Demonstrate Adaptability Drive for Results Influence Others Lead Innovation and Quality Initiatives Manage Execution Manage Talent Use Sound Judgment / Business Acumen Benefits As a U.S. PACCAR employee, you have a full range of benefit options including: 401k with up to a 5% company match Fully funded pension plan that provides monthly benefits after retirement Comprehensive paid time off - minimum of 10 paid vacation days (additional days are provided with additional seniority/years of service), 12 paid holidays, and sick time Tuition reimbursement for continued education Medical, dental, and vision
