Job Title: Water Tanker Driver - Landfill Operations-Dunn Landfill-Rensselaer, NY
Pay for this role is $21-$23/hr
Job Description:
We are looking for a responsible and skilled Water Tanker Driver to join our team at a local landfill. The Water Tanker Driver will be responsible for safely operating a water tanker truck to transport water for various landfill operations, including dust control and maintenance. This position requires adherence to safety protocols, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in all weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate a water tanker truck to transport and distribute water for dust control and other operational needs at the landfill.
Perform daily inspections of the truck to ensure it is in safe working condition.
Ensure proper loading, unloading, and distribution of water in designated areas.
Maintain accurate records of water usage and deliveries.
Follow all safety guidelines, including wearing protective gear and ensuring proper vehicle operation.
Communicate with landfill staff to ensure timely water deliveries and efficient operations.
Qualifications:
Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with water tanker endorsement.
Previous experience operating a water tanker truck is preferred.
Knowledge of safety regulations related to water transport and landfill operations.
Ability to perform manual tasks and handle physically demanding duties.
Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work in varying weather conditions.

What we need from you:
2+ years’ experience running heavy equipment
Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
