Description Robert Half has a great opportunity available for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk/Office Manager with an organization that offers an appealing company culture among highly skilled professionals. The candidate in this position will be reporting to the Accounting Manager while attending to the general administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department. Matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks are integral functions for this position. Located in Rensselaer, New York, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term contract / contract to permanent position.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide administrative assistance to the AP/Finance Department

  • Execute additional tasks as needed

  • Produce full-cycle A/P

  • Provide support to internal business partners

  • Sort, log, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents

  • Provide internal and external audit assistance as required

  • Open, sort, and distribute daily department mail

  • Validate, record and send checks, including expediting special handling

  • Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies

• Experience in Billing procedures and management

• Knowledge and understanding of Rebate processing

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail

• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines

• Good problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field is preferred.
