PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $122,000.00-$149,100.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $94,500.00 - $176,500.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

Newly hired employees accrue 6.16 hours of paid time off (PTO) on a per pay period basis based on hours worked (up to a maximum of 160 PTO hours per year) and receive ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. IMPACT YOU’LL MAKE:

As a Sr Systems Analyst (SSA) at BECU, you will partner with leaders and engineering teams to transform user requirements into robust, functional system designs. Your expertise will help shape technical solutions and streamline complex products, impacting company-wide initiatives. By serving as a mentor and subject matter expert, you will elevate the capabilities of other Systems Analysts and contribute to a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Lead Business Case Development: Manage the creation of product/program business cases and propose technology solutions focused on minimizing technical debt and ensuring regulatory compliance.

  • Collaborate on Roadmaps and Requirements: Work with Product Owners and stakeholders to document roadmaps, define sprint-level goals, and capture user stories. Facilitate workshops to gather and communicate user requirements and functional specifications.

  • Oversee Software Platform Management: Manage configuration, data, permissions, workflow, reporting, upgrades, and processes for complex software platforms with critical business requirements.

  • Analyze and Refine Requirements: Break down complex requirements and acceptance criteria to support effective development.

  • Coordinate with Vendors: Translate functional specifications into vendor requirements, oversee vendor delivery, and maintain vendor relationships for seamless project execution.

  • Collaborate with IT Experts: Work with IT professionals to address business, technical, and infrastructure needs.

  • Guide and Support Testing: Oversee test plans, refine technical solutions, support user acceptance testing, and manage bug resolution.

  • Manage Application Changes: Lead the installation and configuration of patches, updates, and enhancements, adhering to IT Change Control guidelines and developing disaster recovery plans.

  • Break Down Roadmaps: Support business units in documenting and prioritizing long-term roadmaps into actionable objectives.

  • Evaluate Change Management Impacts: Assess organizational impacts of change initiatives and present findings to leadership.

  • Lead Impact Analysis: Guide your team in identifying the impacts of business objectives on people, processes, and systems.

  • Maintain Product Lifecycle Management: Support administration, configuration, and maintenance activities, troubleshooting issues and planning upgrades.

  • Ensure Clear Communication: Develop and manage communication between end users, IT departments, and vendors to resolve issues efficiently.

  • Uphold Security and Compliance: Manage cybersecurity practices and ensure compliance with data privacy and regulation standards.

  • Create and Update Documentation: Produce technical documentation aligned with software changes to maintain consistency and accuracy.

  • Monitor and Optimize Performance: Track performance, identify variances, and recommend actions to improve system performance.

  • Lead Technical Demos and Reviews: Conduct walk-throughs and demos for stakeholders to showcase progress and gather feedback.

  • Configure and Optimize Systems: Proactively configure systems based on evolving business needs and optimize day-to-day operations.

  • Develop System Specifications: Oversee the creation of system requirement specifications, functional requirements, and system architecture.

  • Prepare Manuals and Training Materials: Develop user manuals, technical handouts, and operational guides for deployed applications.

  • Mentor and Guide Team Members: Mentor less experienced team members, sharing your expertise in systems and tools.

  • Act as Subject Matter Expert: Serve as an expert resource in key situations to guide decision-making and project success.

QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related discipline or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience working with business software applications.

  • Proficiency in Cloud Computing theory and practice.

  • Experience in SQL and relational database concepts, with various data analysis methods.

  • Proficiency in multiple change methodologies (Agile, Lean, TDD, Waterfall) and their applications.

  • Experience developing and supporting the full system development lifecycle (SDLC), including user story creation, testing, CICD support, and production issue resolution.

  • Knowledge of software engineering vocabulary and data architecture, with experience in tools like Azure DevOps and JIRA.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills, including experience with tools like Splunk and AppDynamics.

  • Ability to create and present business cases, including financial and risk analysis.

  • Awareness of trends and developments in IT and business-related fields.

  • Ability to plan, organize, and implement projects in accordance with industry standards.

  • Effective time management and prioritization skills; adaptability to change and ambiguity.

  • Proficiency in influencing with authority and maintaining a confident management presence.

  • Availability for full-time hours and additional hours as needed.

  • On-call availability for support during non-business hours.
