    Position Summary

    The Executive Director of Family Preservation is responsible for development, implementation, maintenance and update of Pressley Ridge developed models of Family Preservation and quality implementation of Family Preservation models that have not been developed by Pressley Ridge.

    The Executive Director, Family Preservation partners with regional Executive Directors and the Chief Business Development and Governmental Relations Officer to identify opportunities for expansion, establishing new partnerships, and implementing innovative approaches to increase the reach and impact of Family Preservation services to achieve organizational goals.

    High quality outcomes and an increase in the use of Family Preservation services across existing and new states is the goal. A reduction in out-of-home placements and increase in family reunifications for children and families in programs is expected.

    This position collaborates with support department leaders to develop processes and systems to support chosen models and Human Resources on the successful recruitment and retention of employees in the service line.

    Responsibilities

  • Partners with the Chief Business Development and Governmental Relations Officer and Executive Directors on growth opportunities within and outside of existing states as the Family Preservation model expert.

  • Collaborates with internal departments to coordinate efforts and ensure alignment with organizational priorities.

  • Develops a financial model and participates in budget development with the Finance department in conjunction with regional Executive Directors.

  • Assure fidelity to external models with Pressley Ridge state leaders.

  • Gains consistency in use of electronic systems across the service line in partnership with state, clinical and Organizational Performance leaders.

  • Addresses disparities and make improvements with service line and performance improvement.

  • Supports the service line in the development of job descriptions, salary structures, recruitment and retention alongside Human Resources department.

  • Develops strategies for direct care staff and supervisory expectations for employees in this service line with Human Resources and Training departments.

  • Creates marketing strategies and messaging consistency with the Marketing/Development department.

  • Communicates for the service line internally and externally.

  • Oversees the standardization of forms and processes in the electronic health record for the service line.

  • Review and use data from the organization’s electronic health record to support the strategic plan.

  • Analyzes data related to performance indicators and service line metrics using Microsoft Excel and software applications such as Power BI.

  • Develops, reviews, and updates service line specific policies.

  • Develops, maintains, and updates standard operation procedures.

  • Updates the model using internal and external resources to assure its adaptation to emerging needs and trends while sustaining high quality outcomes.

  • Assures attention to diversity, equity and inclusion in service outcomes, satisfaction, and impact.

  • Monitors and assures that projected growth targets are met and aligns with identified budget.

  • Uses knowledge of funding streams.

  • Acts as the Subject Matter Expert for the Family Preservation Service Line at Pressley Ridge.

  • Assures training and orientation for new staff members at all levels.

  • Assures regional and program leadership understanding and component knowledge.

  • Supervises the model consultant and develops a succession plan for the position.

  • Chairs service line meeting and assures connection with operations.

  • Implements strategic plan goals related to Family Preservation models and growth.

  • Develops and analyzes metrics for the growth of Family Preservation Services and works with Executive Directors, Senior Directors and Chief Operating Officer to meet goals.

  • Evaluates existing services for replication or replacement if warranted.

  • Establishes fidelity standards for Pressley Ridge Family Preservation Models and assists state leaders and Program Directors in meeting the standards.

  • Establishes short-term and long-term goals in accordance with the strategic plan, resulting in an Annual Operating Plan for the service line.

  • Presents a professional image within local, state, national and international communities as a representative of Pressley Ridge.

  • Represents the organization at conferences and seminars and as a member of associations and organizations.

  • Leads service line in accreditation process.

  • Meet the deadlines and timelines as established by the strategic plan utilizing available or sourced resources .

    Qualifications

  • Requires LICSE, LMHC, or other clinician licensure.

  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.

  • CPSL Mandated Reporter-Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse training per state regulation.

    Working Conditions

  • Physical Demands

  • This position requires operating a keypad device 50% of the day and electronic/office equipment 50% of the day. Travel is required approximately 5 times per month. Both local and overnight travel on an as needed basis. Fingers, thumbs, hands, wrists, elbows, legs and feet are all routinely used throughout the day. The lower and upper torso is used 75% of the day. Employee must meet minimum requirements for hearing, speech, and vision. Walking is required 10% of the day. Standing occurs 10% of the day. Sitting happens 80% of the day. Reaching above the shoulder as well as bending and twisting are performed 25% of the day. The maximum lift is 15 pounds, 1 time per day. Qualifications

Education

Required

  • Masters or better in Human Services

Experience

Required

  • 10 years: Leadership experience in a Family Preservation service line required.

  • Extensive involvement in professional and community organizations at local, regional and national levels.
