GE Aerospace Sr Project Manager - Environmental Remediation in Remote, New York

There are two remedial project manager positions. One is anticipated to focus on the remedial design of PCB-impacted sediments and floodplain soils remediation projects in aquatic environments. The the second position is anticipated to focus primarily on the implementation of PCB sediment and floodplain soils remedial. Remedial Project Manager is responsible for managing investigation and

remediation of GE Aerospace’s portfolio of legacy sites. The role requires management of a cross functional team of external consultants on the sites. This role reports to a Remedial Group Team Leader. Must be in the Western Massachusetts area or Hudson Valley, NY area as you will need to be on site 50% of the time. Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

Lead planning and execution of all remediation activities required to effectively implement projects.

Manage diverse portfolio of sites for GE Aerospace primarily in North America that are impacted with contamination due to legacy site operations with a focus on aquatic PCB sediment sites.

Work closely with GE Aerospace project counsel on all remedial site matters.

Optimize mix of internal and external resources to provide best value for company while effectively managing risks (financial, regulatory, and reputation).

Manage financial requirements (budget, reserves) ensuring accurate estimates and timely reporting of reserve early warnings and budget changes.

Interact with government regulators and external environmental community

Provide strategic direction to teams and provide progress, strategic, and financial updates to management on the remedial sites.

Experienced in contracting and contract management

In-depth knowledge of federal, state, provincial environmental regulations.

Experience interacting with senior government regulators and the external environmental community

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Demonstrated success in coordinating technical, financial, reputational, and legal components of projects.

Support other projects and priorities as assigned.

The base pay range for this position is $ 129,100 to 215,200 . The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on July 15, 2025.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology or Environmental SciencesMinimum 10 years project management experience on environmental projects'

  • Able to travel to project site 50% of the time.

Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and other responsibilities, adjust to changing priorities and to make decisions with speed and accuracy based on available information. Ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization as well as organizations outside GE (customers and regulatory agencies).
