Network Sr Portfolio Services Manager, Steriles

Location: Anywhere in Europe, remote with travel

Summary:

Leads business expansion initiatives, analytics, and reporting for the Business Management Organization. Supports network growth opportunities through the efficient standardization of business reporting and practices for product and service revenue streams, along with ensuring network adoption of a range of effective digital Business Management tools.

Essential Functions

  • This role will lead the development of a portfolio services playbook that outline the PSM role and responsibilities, processes and procedures.

  • Solicits market insights from SBI requests, to identify portfolio expansion opportunities and business intelligence for the network portfolios

  • Coordinate PSM’s resources at sites ensuring alignment on priorities and objectives (e.g. excess demand management, NB opps) as well as cascading STL projects among sites (e.g. sec pack opportunities).

  • Support on multi-site NB opps to support quoting process as well as contractual terms, also working with SC Global to ensure appropriate business allocation.

  • Supports Sales Team on NB opps working in tandem with Quotes, Global SC and PSM at Sites to complete actions to ensure project win.

  • Helps to win NB as well as BE opportunities that can be allocated to ThermoFisher extended network. Supports the external Partner’s feasibility assessments, negotiation of partners quotations; works with Quotes team on Client related quotations ensuring right profitability and timelines.

  • Responsible of growth in business analytics, rollout of innovative dashboards solutions for product/batch revenue, forecast accuracy, service revenue, new business growth, Change of Scopes (COS’), and STRAP participating to business case generation, LT investments discussions, etc.

  • Accountable for the continuous improvement of business expansions across the network, supporting sites in target attainment and flagging opportunities for network growth.

Required qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in science, pharmacy, Business Administration or a related field from an accredited institution or 10+ years equivalent experience in portfolio services, MBA preferred.

Position requires 8-10 years of successful experience in project management (or equivalent experience), with strong skills in verbal, written and interpersonal communication and problem solving.

Experience:

Successful candidates will have strong presentation skills and the flexibility to answer management questions. Will be encouraged to be able to prioritize and coordinate tasks across functional teams while maintaining attention to detail and drive problem solving.

Previous professional Business Development experience with the ability to negotiate and resolve roadblocks is valuable.

Equivalency:

Equivalent combinations of education, training, and meaningful work experience may be considered.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Excellent knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) compliance. Commercial business orientation and financial competence required. Advanced negotiation and communication skills (both oral and written). Demonstrated leadership capabilities. Strong Project Management skills including keeping client relationship on track and mending difficult relationships. Effective social skills, and the ability to collaborate with influence and motivate cross-functional team members. Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize multiple project deliverables. Advanced level of Microsoft Office programs and MS Project. Proficiency with the English Language.

Physical Requirements:

Position requires ordinary ambulatory skills and physical coordination sufficient to move about office locations; visual acuity to use a keyboard, computer monitor and read materials for prolonged periods of time.
