Agriterra Equipment General Service Manager in Remote, Alberta

General Service Manager

Agriterra Equipment is one of North America's largest AGCO dealers. Representing exceptional brands, including Massey Ferguson, Fendt, Rogator, Bourgault, Morris, and Cub Cadet. Agriterra is also the first authorized sales and service centre for CAT agricultural products in North America. We've grown from 3 locations (in 2013) to 12 and have been consistently in AGCO North America's Circle of Excellence Top 20 dealer group.

We are looking for an exceptional General Service Manager to join our team in Alberta. This position will become part of a great leadership team growing the service departments throughout our 12 locations, by driving a great customer and employee experience. A successful General Service Manager will focus on developing service department teams to consistently provide unparalleled customer support, a great work environment, and financial metrics that carry the business.

What makes the role exciting and what does it involve?

o Providing leadership, training and coaching to the service department administration

o Reviewing service department metrics, department goals and financial objectives

o Manage expenses by negotiating supply agreements with vendors

o Oversight of safety program company-wide

o Creating annual budgets, in collaboration with the branch service managers

o Developing marketing plans to grow service operations

o Finding ways to improve the customer experience, taking action on client feedback and creating strategies to promote our business

o Support recruiting efforts of service departments

o Work with manufacturers to ensure we meet their service objectives

o Ensure service tech training is completed timely and efficiently to maximize the quality of our support offerings

What are we looking for?

• Previous experience as a Service Manager, Operations Manager, technical leadership role or leadership role in the agriculture industry would be preferred

• An understanding of service department metrics and financials

• Great coaching skills and able to effectively motivate a team to achieve department goals

• Client satisfaction focused, while balancing the interests of the company

• Experience in growing a team

• Ability to travel to each location as required, ensuring high quality, consistent, customer and employee experience
