Job Title: Tooling Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Tooling Technician to join our team. Our company provides a variety of solutions for pharmaceutical, consumer health, and industrial applications, including high-quality medicine bottles and certified child-resistant caps that give parents peace of mind.

Responsibilities

  • Disassemble, clean, and reassemble molds.

  • Replace worn or broken tooling.

  • Utilize production monitoring systems to evaluate and continuously improve the mold preventative maintenance program on all molds, documenting all preventative maintenance and mold improvements.

  • Initiate communication and interaction with the Manufacturing Team to maintain full cavitation, utilization, and efficiencies of the molds.

  • Actively participate in spare part analysis to develop cost-efficient levels of spares and maintain the established minimum inventory of spare components for each mold through coordination with the department team.

  • Support the team concept by performing multiple functions as assigned by management.

  • Perform preventative maintenance activities on the molds and maintain the customer’s assets in peak functional condition.

  • Support the QMS by adhering to system requirements and following plant safety rules. Help identify and eliminate any safety hazards or concerns. Assist in monitoring the quality of work output.

  • Maintain compliance with company policy and procedures.

  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.

  • Report any problems or concerns to the direct supervisor.

  • Maintain good working relations with all other employees, striving to have no conflicts with other employees.

  • Regular attendance is required to perform essential elements of the job between the assigned start and end times for work.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in preventative maintenance.

  • Knowledge of injection molding.

  • Mechanical aptitude.

  • Experience in injection mold setup and changes.

  • Proficiency in tooling maintenance and changes.

  • Troubleshooting skills.

  • Experience with GMP.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Examine tools, machines, and processes to maximize tool and process utilization and ensure all processes and tools are running accurately.

  • Work with Quality, Processing, Automation, and Tooling as necessary to fix higher-level problems.

Additionally, employees receive 88 holiday hours, with half of this time being flexible for scheduling. Our goal-sharing plan allows employees to earn up to 5% of annual earnings tied to safety, EBITA, and Days on Hand Performance.

Work Environment

Our work environment is clean, well-organized, climate-controlled, and quiet. The schedule is 1st shift, Monday through Friday.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Reedsville, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $66560.00 - $93600.00/yr.

  • Benefits i.e. medical, dental, vision

  • 401k company match is 6%

  • Employees will receive 3.33 vacation hours on the 15th of every month (accrual will increase over time).

  • Four days are set back for our shutdowns, Thanksgiving & the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day.

  • Goal Sharing Plan – employees are eligible for up to 5% of annual earnings tied to safety, EBITA, and Days on Hand Performance.

This is a fully onsite position in Reedsville,PA.
