About the Position: Logistics Management Specialist located within the AMCOM LOGISTICS CENTER (ALC) Materiel Support Directorate-AWCF Logistics Support Directorate. Multiple vacancies may be filled from this announcement. Responsibilities Support program logisticians in the development of divestiture concepts and supply support elements to ensure quality sustainment of weapon systems, sub-systems, or programs. Participate in logistics divestiture related activities in order to dispose of repair and component, assemblies, and subassemblies required for maintenance support of major weapon systems. Plan and develop requirements for disposition in support of Integrated Logistics Systems (ILS) programs for assigned weapons systems. Perform logistics management functions from initial procurement through life cycle to disposal of the supplies and equipment. Perform logistics data management functions for divestiture supply activities in support of assigned weapon systems/equipment. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: developing documentation such as plans, forecasts, funding, and budget estimates required for divestiture of assigned systems, performing demilitarization of supply class disposition to ensure material disposition, AND utilizing supply automated systems used to manage supplies necessary to support weapon systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-11. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Acquisition Strategy Oral Communication Product Support Management Technical Data Written Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
