About the Position: This position is located at Redstone Arsenal, AL with the HQ U.S. Army Material Command, Deputy Chief of Staff G-3, Operations. Responsibilities Advise senior leaders and staff on administrative matters and the impact of changes to administrative programs. Coordinate with higher headquarters and supported divisions to ensure organizational requirements are met and in compliance with policies and regulations. Administer all aspects of personnel management including preparation and processing of personnel actions; ensuring administrative propriety of performance appraisals, ratings and awards; and leave programs. Evaluate the effectiveness of the administrative program operations in meeting organizational goals and objectives. Mediate controversial issues for internal and external sources involving the development and/or implementation of administrative policies. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience in management of administrative operations of the command which include support services, security, training, records and file management, or reports control; performing special studies on new regulations or proposed changes on organizational effectiveness. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/ level position in the federal service (GS-12).
