Job Description
We are seeking a technical writer to develop C++, C#, and Python developer-focused content for Windows Volumetric Apps in Mixed Reality. These apps enable developers to extend Windows applications into 3D space. The role involves creating comprehensive documentation, tutorials, and API references to facilitate the use of Windows Volumetric Apps in Mixed Reality. The technical writer will collaborate with engineering, design, and PM partners to identify and document high-priority content, continually improve the material, provide feedback on the SDK and source code, and drive the development of real-world Windows Volumetric App solutions in Mixed Reality.
Additionally, the writer will create new documentation and update existing materials to reflect the latest features and functionalities, focusing on top scenarios such as getting started guides, tutorials, feature documentation, and API references. The goal is to support developers in building production-grade Windows applications that extend into Mixed Reality. The writer will also author and test/validate the setup, documentation, and samples to be published to customers, respond to reviewer feedback, and incorporate necessary changes. Delivering documentation according to specifications and priorities provided by engineering, design, and PR partners, and using content tools, processes, and authoring and publishing guidelines to ensure high-quality documentation, are key responsibilities of this role.

Skills and Requirements
Qualifications:
8-10 years of technical writing experience and/or experience creating technical documentation for a developer audience.
Familiarity with C++, C#, and Python development.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Technical Communications, or related field.
Experience or familiarity with markdown and GitHub.
Strong written and verbal English skills.
Self-starter who works well independently and with others.
Skilled at organizing and prioritizing your workload. Preferred:
Windows applications (e.g., Win32, WinUI3, WinForm, imgui, console) development experience or familiarity in a production environment.
C++, C#, and Python development experience in a production environment.
Mixed Reality development experience or familiarity in a production environment. null
