We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our team! Microsoft Azure Edge + Platform (E+P) is a globally distributed team of engineers, architects, program managers, product managers, business program managers, business administrators, user experience researchers and designers who are responsible for the platform for Microsoft and for delivering Microsoft’s edge vision. We create the most reliable and trustworthy OS and platform services to empower Microsoft and our customers to achieve more. We unlock the next wave of opportunity at the edge through an at-scale ecosystem driving widespread adoption of our Microsoft cloud services.

The Azure Digital Operations Data experiences team is focused on helping organizations across multiple industries transform their physical operations through data and insights cultivated from operational data capabilities across edge and cloud alongside Artificial Intelligence (AI) and analytics in the Microsoft Cloud.

We are building a new product in Microsoft Fabric to help customers across multiple industries to optimize their operations, leveraging their industrial data from edge and cloud. We are looking for a Senior Product Manager that will help us envision and deliver the data experiences that make self-services insight generation accessible for the average user and apply AI/ML to drive business outcomes.

The candidate will be committed to understanding customer needs and providing end-to-end experiences throughout the portfolio, while tracking success and performance metrics to support decision making.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a world-class product with exceptional user experience to our customers on time and aligned to product roadmap

  • Define, drive and track success criteria and performance metrics such as engagement, usage, profitability etc. and incorporate into planning and execution

  • Manage dependencies across teams to ensure that features land on time with the required scope and quality.

  • Engage with customers, partners, and internal preview users, and triage, prioritize, and address customer feedback for your area.

  • Regularly present new product plans, strategy, demos, competitive reviews, and more to the leadership team.

  • Contribute to the overall product strategy and roadmap, as well as stay in sync with end-user features and platform.

  • Work closely with the design and engineering team to ideate and craft new AI and low code experiences.

  • Drive execution and demonstrate end-to-end ownership of complex, cross-group, and cross-discipline projects to successful completion.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development

  • OR equivalent experience​

  • 1 year experience working on AI/ML technologies

  • 2+ years experience data analytics, data products and/or data engineering

  • Other Requirements:

  • Cloud Background check: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 7+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • Ability to understand the fundamentals of machine learning, deep learning, large language models, natural language processing, computer vision, and other AI techniques, as well as their strengths and limitations.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with data scientists and engineers and translate business requirements into technical specifications and vice versa.

  • Ability to evaluate the feasibility, viability, and desirability of AI products or features, and define success metrics and evaluation criteria.

  • Ability to use data analysis, visualization, and experimentation tools to monitor and improve the performance and user experience of AI products or features.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams and senior executives.

  • Passion for solving customer problems and creating positive impact with AI, and for advancing the Project Alpine Lakes mission and vision.

Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
