Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.

We are looking for an experienced, strategic Senior Copywriter to join Project Kuiper's Marketing team. In this role, you'll play a critical role in creating creative that brings to life one of Amazon's most ambitious initiatives, leveraging the full spectrum of Amazon's global marketing capabilities while pushing the boundaries of storytelling. As an expert in your craft, including creative ideation, brand storytelling, copy development, and pre/post content production, you will shape how the world understands and engages with Kuiper's mission to provide global high-speed connectivity.

You'll be involved in all aspects of campaign development, from initial concepting through execution, including stakeholder presentations, design/tech reviews, video script writing, keynote presentation development, and collaboration with external creative partners. In partnership with brand strategists, creative partners and marketing analytics, you will synthesize customer data and research to help develop "never done before" ideas that work backwards from customer needs across multiple audiences (B2B, B2C, B2G).

Working closely with Creative Directors, Digital/Social Strategists, Art Directors, Product Marketing Manager, you'll ideate and vet tactical ideas that maximize the impact of our marketing channels while ensuring technical accuracy and feasibility. You'll partner with Producers to scope, budget, and plan production requirements for major campaigns and launches. Additionally, you'll collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for strategic, bespoke solutions that not only tell Kuiper's story but also demonstrate meaningful impact on communities, businesses, and governments worldwide.

Key job responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end copy development for Kuiper's most complex campaigns, from ideation to launch

• Create compelling narratives that translate sophisticated satellite technology into clear, engaging content for diverse audiences

• Develop and maintain Kuiper's brand voice across all marketing channels and customer touchpoints

• Drive content strategy and execution across (e.g., website, social, video, audio, print, etc.)

• Produce original copy and scripts with meticulous attention to narrative consistency technical accuracy, and audience engagement

• Present creative concepts and rationales to director-level stakeholders, providing clear creative, tactical, and business justification

• Partner with stakeholder teams to refine messaging while maintaining creative integrity

• Develop market materials for new product and service launches

• Own global content strategy, including localization and translation initiatives

• Mentor junior writers and provide creative direction to cross-functional teams

A day in the life

You'll manage multiple high-impact projects simultaneously, each at different stages of development. Typical activities include:

• Crafting compelling narratives that bring Kuiper's mission to life across media

• Leading creative reviews with senior stakeholders

• Writing scripts for product launches and major announcements

• Writing customer-facing copy for website and app

• Developing compelling copy for business development, PR, and keynote presentations

• Developing copy for SEO/SEM application

• Collaborating with technical teams to ensure accuracy of complex concepts

• Working with global teams to adapt messaging for different markets

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or related field

  • 5+ years of copywriting experience in advertising agencies and/or in-house creative departments

  • Online portfolio demonstrating exceptional copywriting, conceptual thinking, and campaign development across various mediums

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience presenting to and influencing senior stakeholders

  • Proven track record of managing multiple complex projects simultaneously

  • Excellence in storytelling and technical writing

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams

  • Experience in technology, telecommunications, or aerospace industries

  • Track record of developing breakthrough creative campaigns

  • Experience writing about complex technical subjects for diverse audiences

  • Knowledge of global marketing and localization best practices

  • Experience with content management systems (CMS) and SEO

  • Experience working across B2B and B2C audiences

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $127,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $210,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
