To help us achieve our goals to significantly grow the ads delivering and increase adoption of our MSAN platform, we are looking for a collaborative Principal Software Engineer- User Interface(UI)  to join our team in Redmond, WA . 

Online Advertising is one of the fastest growing businesses on the Internet today, with about $70 billion of a $600 billion advertising market already online.  Search engines, web publishers, major ad networks, and ad exchanges are now serving billions of ad impressions per day and generating terabytes of user events data every day. 

We are a team of engineers, Product Managers (PMs) and designers that is tasked to find and render the ads with most appealing layout, and contribute to the overall Bing/ Microsoft Search Ad Network (MSAN) revenue.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a contributor with passion in User Experience (UX) domain and strong problem solving skill:

  • To build versatile rendering User Experience (UX) package/library on various platform;

  • To use data processing and monitoring system to analyze the system performance and drive the improvement on full ads stack;

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java or JavaScript

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 6+ years of experience working with JavaScript, HTML/XML, C# or Java or any related front-end technologies.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 10+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

  • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • Previous lead level experience is valued;

  • Previous UX design experience is preferred;

Software Engineering IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.
