Our client, a leader in the technology sector, is seeking a Linguist II to join their team. As a Linguist II, you will be part of the fast-paced data annotation team supporting AI projects. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and strong analytical abilities which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?
In this role, you will be working with linguist engineers as a liaison between that team and the data quality team.
We are looking for a candidate with superb communication skills and flexibility who is able to complete project coordinator tasks and writing guides which are changing quickly with this live AI product.
The main function of a Linguist is to determine language and visual data needs and setting strategic vision for data-based model and product improvements.
Provide linguistic expertise while delivering data for machine learning models.
Develop strategies for labeling visual and language data together.
Create guidelines in support of labeling projects that allow vendor labelers to consistently label language, visual, and motion data at quality.
Collaborate and clearly communicate with project stakeholders.
Lead trainings for vendor labeler team.
Analyze labeling quality and adjust guidelines where needed to ensure consistent quality
What's Needed?
3-5+ years of linguistics experience
Knowledge of computational linguistics and other areas of linguistics.
Experience working in the tech industry with product engineering teams
Experience with spreadsheets and other data annotation tools.
Ability to write documentation that is consistent, concise, and easy to understand.
Ability to write complex stories and documents
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to manage and execute tasks in a highly demanding, dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of prescriptive writing and punctuation conventions for English
Experience producing learning and development materials, guides, and performing training on the materials
Able to produce clear task and products guides, able to evaluate systems tasks, projects tasks, rewrite systems responses
Able to work with vendors and vendor workers to train them on product tasks and guidelines
Detailed oriented and data focused
Good to have skills:
Bachelor’s degree in linguistics, language technologies, computational linguistics, or related field
Technical writing experience
Teaching or training experience
Experience working with wearable products and AI is a plus
