Administrative Assistant 2 BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Administrative Assistant 2 for an opportunity in Redmond, WA! Position Title: Administrative Assistant 2 Location: Redmond, WA Anticipated Start Date: ASAP Expected Duration: 04 Plus months contract Rate: $30/hr on W2. Typical Day in the Role * Purpose of the Team: This is a team made up of 280 team members that are mainly Engineers and PMs focused on commerce technologies which is the way MSFT invoices their large customers. This is a global team based in Singapore, India, Dublin and mainly based in Redmond, WA. * Key projects: This role will contribute to on the ground team support within the Redmond office. * Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm: The role will consist of the following: - Contractor will be onsite Monday-Thursday. - Will be available onsite for space management, hardware and general admin support needs. - Will be responsible for onboarding new hires and an offboarding items. - Assisting with office maps and tracking - Visio and Excel will be used frequently for this project. - Purchasing equipment for the office to have on hand and organizing hardware. - Booking conference rooms and day of tasks for meetings, townhalls and morale events. - Providing back up support for General Manager - mainly calendar support Compelling Story & Candidate Value Proposition * What makes this role interesting? - This role provides the opportunity to work within a brand new space at MSFT alongside a tight knit and collaborative team! * Unique Selling Points: Opportunity for flexibility in the role. Candidate Requirements * Years of Experience Required: 3-5 overall years of experience in the field. * Degrees or certifications required: No specific degree is required to be eligible for this role. * Disqualifiers: No specific red flags identified. * Best vs. Average: The ideal resume would contain previous MSFT experience and experience in an admin role. * Performance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on meeting deadlines and responsiveness/ internal SLAs. Top 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience 1. Minimum 3-5 years experience with Outlook and Calendar Support 2. Minimum 3-5 years experience with Excel 3. Minimum 3-5 years experience as an admin assistant or in a customer service type role Hard Skills Assessments * Expected Dates that Hard Skills Assessments will be scheduled: As soon as possible. * Hard Skills Assessment Process: The assessment process will include 1-2 rounds of interviews with the sponsor and a 2nd with other admins on the team. * Required Candidate Preparation: N/A Manages procurement of goods and services including computer equipment, office supplies, reference materials, and vendor relationships. Provides general office support. Serves as the department/group contact. Completes special projects as assigned. The Business Administrator will need to be able to navigate and change directions quickly, possess interpersonal skills, initiative, demonstrate good judgment, the ability to maintain confidentiality, set priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Being detail oriented and having consistent and timely follow through will be essential to success.
