Description
We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team in the Reading, PA area. The Accountant will support general cost accounting activities, managing bookkeeping duties including A/P & A/R and inventory management. This position will offer a growth opportunity.
Accountant responsibilities include:
• Conduct cost accounting tasks
• Perform various bookkeeping duties, including data entry and record maintenance
• Manage invoices and supporting documentation for purchases and services
• Verify and process payment of invoices related to accounts payable
• Maintain an audit inventory of parts and supplies
• Support month-end close including account reconciliations, journal entries and bank reconciliations
Requirements
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel is necessary
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent experience required
• 3 + years of accounting experience with excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
