Honda Development & Manufacturing of America, LLC Title: ADAS Systems Development Engineer (EX2) Worksite Location: Raymond, Ohio
Duties: Coordinate/perform a full range of test/development activities relevant to departmental and organizational needs while correlating with 4MOC/SDM counterparts, international engineering teams as well as external vendors and customers. Assume PIC (Person-in-Charge) responsibility for specific ADAS technologies and corollary testing within a development project(s). Develop the Advanced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS) Acceleration and Deceleration control functions, as well as tuning vehicle control systems. Develop the functional requirements related to CAN interface, Self-Diagnostic, Failsafe Detection for each vehicle development, working with the system supplier to lead the integration of these functions into the vehicle, as well as verification of the functions. Perform project management activities, overseeing the testing of the related vehicle systems, negotiating the hardware and software interfaces to integrate the system into the vehicle, instrumenting and troubleshooting vehicles for testing, analyzing test data, recommending solutions for test failures, determining root cause(s) and leading/coaching/mentoring junior engineers within the group as a Lead PIC (person in charge) for development projects. Manage development projects/schedules, coordinate with corollary departments/suppliers and research new technologies and market trends. Create and present technical documents/reports, including comprehensive root cause analysis when required.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or Computer Science. 3 years of experience with requirements management, function validation, diagnostics, and CAN structures or micro controller communication structures. 3 years of experience in control specification development. 3 years of experience using analytical skills to troubleshoot control system issues and propose and implement potential solutions. 3 years of experience in Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
Alternatively, Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or Computer Science. 2 years of experience with requirements management, function validation, diagnostics, and CAN structures or micro controller communication structures. 2 years of experience in control specification development. 2 years of experience using analytical skills to troubleshoot control system issues and propose and implement potential solutions. 2 years of experience in Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
Hybrid work schedule involving onsite work at our location in Raymond, OH and telecommuting may be permitted.
