Your responsibilities?
Review specifications, technical drawings and project reports to ensure that applicable quality requirements are maintained in ongoing projects or bids.
Prepare WPS and PQR manuals and related documentation for welding and surfacing process taking into account accepted welding rules for projects.
Managing a team of Welders to verify the scope, need for extension or renewal of required welding certifications.
Prepare and verify documentation on subcontracted work, including but not limited to machining, heat treatment and laboratory testing.
Supervise qualification for new welding procedure specifications for general and specific applications in accordance with customer requirements.
Provide expert advice on all matters related to technical quality and non-conformance requirements and work with external specialists as needed.
Monitor and maintain welding licenses and other employee qualification records in accordance with welding requirements.
Review and confirm purchase requirements for welding supplies and basic materials.
Monitor changes and updates to codes, standards and regulations and ensure effective implementation of relevant documentation, qualifications, policies and procedures.
Proactively identify potential welding issues and provide means to eliminate or reduce risks.
Liaise with client's Quality Control/Welding representatives to provide expert support regarding proper welding quality. Liaise with authorized inspectors/notified body to resolve issues related to applicable codes and standards.
Work with Project Manager on project risks, schedule issues or technical clarifications for the customer.
Meet the guidelines of EN ISO 3834-2 and on-site welding supervision responsibilities per EN ISO 14732.
Our expectations:
Higher education in engineering (Mechanical Engineer with specialization in welding or related).
Diploma of International Welding Engineer (required).
Experience as a Welding Engineer (min. 3-4 years).
Knowledge of relevant European (i.e. ISO, PED, EN, etc.) and American (ASME, NBIC, API) standards at an expert level.
Technical skills in welding engineering and welding process management.
Good command of spoken and written English.
Good knowledge of MS Office and AutoCad LT (or similar software) applications.
Optional: NDE VT2
Working environment:
Hybrid with three days in Radom office
Willingness to make occasional business trips to meet with clients.
