Summary
HII-Mission Technologies is seeking a Personnel Security Support Specialist (PERSEC) to support the United States Forces Korea (USFK), Assistant Chief of Staff, J2 (ACofS, J2) JIOC-K in their mission to provide timely intelligence to Commander, USFK and Combined Forces Command, the combined battle staff, and war fighter component commanders!
The JIOC-K's efforts focus on detecting enemy threats, managing intelligence, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) activities, analyzing enemy actions and information to determine enemy's probable courses of action.
The overall analytic effort strengthens Defense Intelligence and provides relevant, timely, objective, and cogent all source Defense Intelligence to the Commander and other users, and transforming theater intelligence activities to better leverage the capabilities of the theater and global intelligence communities and safeguard United States personnel and interests within the Korea Theater of Operations (KTO). What you will do
Assists in reviewing, correcting, processing and tracking requests for security investigations and collateral/SCI clearances
Assists in performing preliminary reviews of investigation reports, and recommend an initial determination of the investigated results in Defense Information System for Security (DISS)
Receives, in-processes, and issues SCI-access security badges
Assists in developing appropriate courses of action in determining SCI-eligibility
Out-processes all personnel ensuring DISS relationships are removed; accounts for all security badges issued and for their destruction
Assists Government with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) indoctrination briefings and SCI debriefings
Assists in performing accountability audits of issued security badges and accesses granted with Personnel Security files
Maintains daily oversight of DISS notifications and respond to SCI indoctrinated personnel RFIs
Recommends appropriate actions if derogatory information is developed on individuals who have access to classified information or security clearances
Coordinates with tenant security managers and SSOs to verify or clarify information pertinent to security clearance determinations
Advises on policies and procedures for USFK security; reviews requests for clearances, interviews employees and requests investigations from the appropriate organization
Assists in maintaining approved visitor control log, verifying visit messages are passed to the appropriate organization
Provides unofficial foreign travel reporting for SCI indoctrinated
Assists in processing Special Action, such as derogatory information case reporting
Sends and receives Record Message Traffic (RMT) for requesting/receiving indoctrination requests and visit/permanent certification requests
Assists in reviewing DISS, TITAN and Scattered Castle data
Assists in periodic security spot checks throughout facilities to determine compliance
Drafts, reviews, prepares and/or submits National Agency Checks for foreign officers
Additional duties as assigned or required
What we are looking for
3 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 1 year relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 7 years relevant experience
Strong ability to expeditiously resolve potential security problems, questions, and/or situations
Experience with SCI indoctrination briefings and debriefings, in-process and issued SCI-access security badges, out-processing personnel, and ensuring DISS JVS is updated
Experience with security badge accountability
Experience supporting military operations
Experience in preparing and submitting contractor nominations to adjudication, sending and receiving message traffic for indoctrination requests, and visit permanent certification requests
Able to surge support during 2 exercises per year
Clearance: Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI clearance, with the continued ability to obtain a Poly
Bonus points for...
Bachelors with 8 years of experience preferred
Recent applicable experience within the last 2 years also preferred
Experience working SSO issues for NRO, DIA, and INSCOM
Experience in drafting, reviewing, preparing and/or submitting National Agency Checks for foreign officers
Experience working in a Coalition environment
Familiar with the Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA)
Korea experience
