DESCRIPTION
Job Summary:
The Product Functional Test Mechanical Technician – Level II is responsible for preparing test articles, including initial build and final teardown, and for installing instrumentation according to engineering standards. The role involves supporting functional tests through setup, execution, and maintenance of test equipment, ensuring the validity and accuracy of test results.
Key Responsibilities:
Test Preparation & Execution :Prepare test articles and associated fixtures, rigs, and equipment for testing, ensuring all setups comply with relevant standards and safety protocols. Assist in testing as per established test procedures and methodologies.
Test Equipment & Data Acquisition :Install, troubleshoot, and maintain test stands, ensuring optimal functionality. Verify equipment calibration and conduct tests that produce reliable data, which is subsequently reported to engineers or customers.
Test Article Build :Assemble test articles, including necessary installation and instrumentation, ensuring that the product is adequately prepared for functional testing.
Data Reporting :Prepare comprehensive documentation that organizes testing methods, instrument settings, and test results for clear communication to engineers and customers.
Maintenance :Perform routine maintenance of laboratory equipment and test stands, and participate in preventative and predictive maintenance strategies to ensure smooth operations.
Problem Solving :Troubleshoot issues related to test setups, equipment, or test article performance, and assist in identifying solutions that improve testing accuracy and efficiency.
Health & Safety :Champion and model health and safety behaviors by identifying risks, reporting hazards, and participating in actions to improve safety in the workplace.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
