As a Communication & Network Application Engineer a typical day might include the following: * Network Expertise: Leverage your strong background in networking, routing, and Ethernet design to architect and implement communication solutions for SEL products. * Radio Communication: Ideally, you understand radio communication and can integrate them effectively into SEL applications. * SONET Knowledge: An understanding of SONET applications and design would be a valuable asset. * Technical Presentations: Be comfortable speaking to large groups-whether it's explaining complex concepts to customers, conducting training sessions, or presenting at industry events. * Travel: Embrace the opportunity to travel up to 25% of your time to engage with customers, attend conferences, and collaborate with SEL teams. * Passion for Learning: We value continuous improvement. This job might be for you if: * You have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. * You have strong Networking Background: Demonstrated expertise in network protocols, routing, and Ethernet design. * You have radio Communication: Familiarity with radio communication standards and their integration. * You have SONET Understanding: Knowledge of SONET applications and design principles. * You have effective Communication Skills: Ability to convey technical information clearly to diverse audiences. * You have willingness to Travel: Comfortable with regular travel. * You have curiosity and Adaptability: A genuine love for learning and the ability to assume new responsibilities. * You are a collaborative Team Player: Work effectively in a team environment.
