This Mining Technology Products Specialist is responsible for selling and supporting mining technology products in cooperation with our Earthmoving Machine Sales Representatives in a manner that reflects the companys vision of working as One Professional Team. This specialist is the technical and application expert for the full line of mining technology products offered by Wagner Equipment Co. (WECo). This role Ensures customers receive the full benefit from their mining technology investment by performing support contract work at the mine site, creating quotes, completing sales calls, providing formal and informal training, installing software and firmware updates, taking internal and external support calls, acting as the liaison between the dealership and manufacture regarding product problems, and troubleshooting system issues. While the position is not primarily responsible for new system installs there will be times when this position will be expected to perform or assist in these duties. Our desire is to have this position spend around 20% of their time on sales activities and 80% on support. Pay Rate:$74,662.60 - $102,661.39 Annually Pay rate is dependent upon education & experience. Writes Tech Solutions quotes that will be used to create sales orders and rental contracts Maintains supply of needed technical and marketing literature Tracks and reports product problems to management and manufacturers Tracks all provided data required for billing of support contracts (CAT and Wagner) Keeps the manager informed of all sales opportunities as well as competitive activity, lost sales, and making recommendations on merchandising programs For large installation projects, serves as the project manager assuring milestones are met and that the customer receives regular communication Maintains company standard regarding p-card reporting and record keeping Assists Sales and Marketing departments in setting objectives, and developing marketing programs to meet WECo.s goals for Technology Product volumes and profits Provides/facilitates support and training of Wagner Sales personnel and external customers as the company technical expert on hardware, software, and applications Develops a good working relationship with customers operating personnel and provides training and refresher courses as required Maintains outstanding One Professional Team relationships with WECo. Sales and Service Department personnel Sells Technology Products as factory-installed options and as an aftermarket solution Sells repairs, support contracts, and warranties for technology products Assists the salesmen in preparing and presenting quotations, closing sales, leases, and rentals at ac eptable gross-profit levels as determined by the Manager Applies a working knowledge of GPS systems Applies an understanding of survey practices and procedures Applies a working knowledge of routers, firewalls, VLANS, switches, windows server, data bases, multiple operating systems (Windows, Linux, Onx) Serves as the technical expert for the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and use of these systems Serves as the application software expert and helps assure that the customer is receiving full benefit from their investment Evaluates system performance (hardware, firmware, database, network, and software) and proposes changes as needed to optimize performance Assists service managers in making customer, dealer, and manufacturer policy settlement decisions Acts as technical contact for external and internal customers (phone and walk-in) Facilitates internal and customer acceptance of these products by being a reliable source of information on these products Acts self-sufficiently in finding technical information from a variety of sources Provides support and coordinates demos to both internal and external customers Troubleshoots and creates harnesses and cables Effectively communicates complex technical issues to non-technical external and internal customers Other duties as assigned by manager Required Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED Bachelors Degree in Business, Engineering, Electronics, Information Technology, or an equivalent combination of education and experience 5+ years experience with CAT, Trimble, or related technology field 3-5 years administrative/clerical experience 5+ years customer service experience 5+ years sales experience
