Location: UCHealth Parkview Medical Center, US:CO:Pueblo

Department: Maintenance

FTE: Full Time, 1.0, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Days

Pay: $29.54 - $44.31 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

Summary:

Lead and coordinate HVAC team to maintain, test, repair, and modify heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and related temperature controls and equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides oversight of HVAC PM program, including to plan and develop strategies to ensure compliance with all PM and inspection programs. accreditation reports and for the infection control program.

  • Directs team and ensures documentation is completed within specific guidelines. Assists in maintenance, remodeling and construction project management.

  • Provides maintenance support to air handling units, exhaust systems, VAVs, BAS, and chilled water systems. Maintain specified pressures, temperatures, and humidity. Inspect the equipment for malfunctions. Make adjustments and/or repairs.

  • Provides subject matter expertise on critical mechanical and electrical equipment and systems. Conducts and supervises airflow and balancing tests required for accreditation reports and for the infection control program. Recommends modifications, replacements, repairs, and necessary procedures.

  • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements:

  • Essential: * HVAC Mechanic

  • High School diploma

    Completion of an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) approved HVAC technician certification program. Additional certification as required by local municipality as determined at position level.

Minimum Experience: 5 years of HVAC experience. Preferred: 3 years leading HVAC projects and/or service technicians.
